I work with with adult individuals on a one to one basis.
I meet all prospective clients for an initial meeting during which we consider what is bringing you into therapy. We will explore what working together may be like and establish a context for our work together.
If we decide to work together we will agree a therapeutic contract during our initial session where we also decide whether your therapy might be time limited or ongoing and open ended. Each of the appointments would be for 50 minutes each week at a mutually agreed time and day. That specific time and space will be held solely for you.
A sojourn is a short or temporary stay or period of residence, usually as a guest or as a visitor. The duration of your ‘sojourn’ will be determined by what issue or issues you bring to discuss, explore, or examine and outcomes and duration of sessions will be subject to your personal situation. For example, some clients may wish to have a few sessions to talk through a particular problem in order to gain a new perspective while others may wish to deeply explore their personal situation.
I will support you in developing your own personal insights and knowledge. I will not offer advice however I do offer an environment that enables you to discover and explore your inner resources, find your own solutions and make decisions that are right for you.
My private counselling and therapy practice is based in Horsham, West Sussex. The rooms I use offer relaxed surroundings. Client confidentiality is assured.
My fees are in line with current market rates and I do charge a fee for the initial consultation. Concessions are sometimes available in certain circumstances.
Please call or email me to for further details regarding my fee structure.
Cancellation Policy: I require a minimum of 72 hours notice when/if an appointment needs to be cancelled. If it cannot be rearranged for a mutually agreed date and time within the same working week full fee will be incurred. Full fee will also be incurred where arranged sessions are not attended.
